I am a local registered plumber serving the Bath area inclusive at night & during the w-end, plumber that answers the phone; where and whenever possible I try to ensure the phone is with me at all times environment permitting.

I am an experienced "Plumbing (pipe-fitting) & Heating engineer" able to handle most emergency situations from a Burst Pipe, Nail or Screw through Pipe; Gas or Water leakage within property, and provide a genuine "out of hours" emergency service within the Bath (and Bristol) surrounding area from Sunday through to Saturday and during the day on W-end & Bank holidays when possible.

When a plumbing emergency occurs the property occupier / owner is faced with locating a reliable and competent craft operative to assist; their regular plumber may be unavailable or un-contactable.
Many people are aware of the shortage of genuine craft operatives; each individual has his or her opinion of an emergency. Shock can transform to stress; especially when woken by running water; the implication of a complete stranger entering their property can produce a feeling of vulnerability to exploitation.

With the shortage of genuine craft; the media portraying easy money many opportunists have decided to become plumbers; teachers of plumbing; or create telephone call-centres for plumbing emergencies

In an emergency my primary role is to respond to call and make safe gas & water leakage, repair if able at the time of call or isolate the individual fault area to reduce property damage:
Wet floor water leakage pick-up / vacuuming, water transfer / pumping service; building flood water basements & cellar water bailed / pumped; leaking water storage vessels drained / emptied.
Enabling next day repair, or for you to contact your regular agents, during normal office / working hours
I can serve as an on site contact i.e. for a current situation feed back for land-lords and non residential owners.

I can perform a "Power flushing" of central heating pipe work at short notice; this is often required on all new boiler changes to validate the manufacturer's warranty. There is a significant difference in design between the heat exchangers of modern boilers and those old boilers of the past; lose particles of debris circulate and block the modern high efficiency heat exchangers and safety controls causing problems and premature wear.

Though I am able to identify and sort out most heating and hot water problems I have moved away from boiler servicing & repair because it is often more cost effective, ...in particular with modern boilers that may require multiple, high-tech (cost) components during repair, for the customer to contact the individual manufacturers support service, but I will help if I can.
Nor do I undertake the clearance of sewer & large blocked drains as this often requires specialist equipment and procedure.
